What is the Boosting Apprenticeships Commencement Incentive?
The BAC is funding provided by the Government which encourages employers of any size or industry, Australia-wide, to upskill their staff through training and education.
The process is easy:
Enrol your eligible employees (both new and existing*) into a course/qualification and you could claim up to $28,000 per employee over the next 12 months.
Businesses in all industries of any size can take advantage of the BAC funding.
Under its current form, this Government funding initiative is available until 30 June, 2022.
How much is available to employers?
The funding available is 50% of the employee’s gross wage up to a maximum of up to $28,000 over 12 months. There are 4 quarterly claims of up to $7,000 per quarter.
How do I find out if my employees are eligible?
Any employee as detailed below could be eligible for the subsidy:
New full-time employees (employed within the last 3 months); or
New part-time employees (employed within the last 12 months); or
Employees who are willing to update employment status from casual to part-time, or casual to full-time, or part-time to full-time.
